SPF:a is designing a LEED Certified mixed-use development for “Uptown Lofts, LLC,” a development company that Principal Judit Fekete founded with partner Joseph Miller. Located at 9900 Culver, the architecturally significant program will include 23 flats and a ground floor epicurean market. Flats are generously sized, with over 10-foot-high ceilings and private terraces. “We wanted to give something back to Culver City’s downtown in appreciation for all that the city has done for us,” exclaimed Principal Judit Fekete. “Our investment in the building’s design and finishes reflect our excitement about the youthful growth and urbanization of our city, and our commitment to buildings that architecturally enhance the fabric of our community.” Judy plans to break ground on the project by mid-2007, targeting completion by the end of 2008 or early 2009. The building will be registered with the US Green Building Council for LEED Certifi cation.
